Shallots are one of the vegetable commodities that have significance for the community, both in terms of their high economic value, as well as from their nutritional content. In the last decade the demand for shallots for consumption and for domestic seeds has increased, so Indonesia must import to meet these needs. To reduce import volume, increasing production and quality of shallot yield must always be increased through intensification and extensification (Sumarni and Hidayat, 2005).
