Curly red chili (Capsicum annum L.) is one type of chili that has high adaptability. This plant can grow and develop both in lowlands and highlands, in rice fields and moorland. Curly red chili is one of the most commercial commodities in horticultural agriculture. Curly red chili is cultivated by many farmers because it has a high selling price and has several health benefits and is one of the must-have cooking spices. The price of curly red chili in the market is also quite stable when compared to cayenne pepper which is very volatile.

The need for curly red chili continues to increase every year in line with the increasing population, in addition to the development of the food industry that requires more and more curly red chili raw materials which will cause the demand for curly red chili to increase. The increasing demand for curly red chili peppers that are getting higher in the market is not matched by a significant increase in production. Increasing curly red chili production can be done by maximizing input or input factors that affect curly red chili production including land area, labor, number of seedlings, chemical fertilizers and manure.
